The SBI job application forms are available online, at stationary shops and other retail outlets assigned by the State Bank Of India. The applicant can refer to the centers mentioned in the application form to submit the duly filled up forms. The results for the SBI exam are displayed at SBI branches and also on the bank's website. The applicants so short-listed are called for a personal interaction and thus the final candidates are selected for the appropriate positions and the list of final results is again displayed both online and at the bank's branches.

SBI Jobs for freshers:

Any undergraduate person who has qualified minimum 60% in senior secondary or a candidate with 40% marks in graduation can apply for the clerical post by appearing in an entrance exam. The eligibility criteria for interested candidates for SBI Jobs in India is that the candidate should be an Indian resident and must be in the age group of 18-28 years for general category. Candidates from SC/ST/OBC, physically challenged category are applicable to upper age relaxation. The application fee is Rs. 200 and the candidates belonging to SC/ST class are exempted from paying the application fee, however postal charges of Rs. 50 are applicable to all candidates. The final selection of the candidates is based on the individual's performance in the entrance exam along with the personal interview.

SBI Jobs 2009:

The State Bank Of India enjoys the reputation of being India's largest commercial bank and thus is expanding its operations across India with a view to increase its presence throughout the country. Having a vast network of branches in the country the bank is inviting applications for jobs in the clerical cadre.

SBI is inviting application for around 20000 posts in clerical grade in different cities of India. The applicants can download the job application form from the bank's website and submit the form along with the required fee at any branch of SBI and receive the receipt thereafter. There is no other means to apply other than online application. SBI Jobs for Probationary Officers (PO):

State Bank Of India holds written entrance examinations for the post of Bank PO and these tests are carried out by Central recruitment board on an annual basis. These tests are usually held in the latter half of the year. The bank has a fixed format of conducting 5 general tests for this particular post to test the applicant's skills which are as follows:
  1. English Language
  2. Reasoning
  3. General Awareness
  4. Computer Literacy
  5. Quantitative Aptitude
This recruitment exam is divided into two phases Phase 1 and Phase 2. During the first phase the candidate has to appear in all the above tests and qualify the minimum marks on the basis of which he/she is selected for the second phase which involves group discussion and interview of the shortlisted candidates and after that the final list of the candidates so selected is displayed at all SBI branches and is also made available on the web.

SBI Jobs for CA (Charted Accountants):

SBI provides job opportunities to Charted Accountants and lays down certain conditions like the candidate should be within an age group of 21-30 years and should have an experience of working as CA in Public/Private sector or in some financial organization or should have done self practice for a specified period.
